Diana and Gerardo Perez are the brother and sister team determined to give New Yorkers a taste of what it was really like to grow up in a Cuban household. Agozar’s cozy dining rooms are reserved for those chicos and chicas who want to get close and have a great Cuban meal with a bar-lounge accommodating those with an appetite and thirst for their unique food in an upbeat Latin tempo. Bright colorful tabletops and blue benches add a sense of fun to the room, and the food will make any Cuban Madre proud. The duo wants to celebrate the food they grew up eating, but present it in a modern way. Agozar’s menu is an ever evolving array of Cuban specialties, familiar and new, at your fingertips.
